ORDERS WILL BE FILLED IN THE ORDER RECEIVED

If you are interested in the doubles order now, they go very quickly and most go overseas. We regret that in past years we have had to disappoint so many of you whose orders were received after they had sold out.

2010 Seed Selections

HAND POLLINATED CROSSES

There are daily surprises and delights when the blooms begin. This listing is based on what we’ve done successfully in the past and will evolve as we learn what customers want. The parent plants below are the result of our own breeding program and are vigorous producers of bloom and seed.

A plant that is ‘selfed’ is crossed with its own pollen, this increases the likelihood of offspring with similar characteristics.  A specific cross doubles the genetic potential of the offspring, a double crossed with a double is more likely to produce double bloomed offspring. Generally the seed parent (female) determines shape and the pollen parent (male) determines color,

but there are no guarantees.  We do what we can to increase the odds but delight in the variety when our babies bloom and find them all uniquely beautiful. We have new plants coming into bloom every year, if you have a special request  please let us know.

Please remember that with the hand crosses we only guarantee the seeds will germinate, we cannot guarantee color or bloom type
